The District 1

Vietnamese Cuisine in Macquarie Center

As a Vietnamese girl who is living far away from home, The District 1 is a spot Athena (45501319) visits and finds the familiar taste of her home country food every time she feels homesick.

The District 1 is very convenient- located, right on the first floor of Macquarie Center with an attractive yellow color background, which is very easy to pinpoint. If you want to explore the cuisine culture of another country, TD1 is a recommended spot for you to have lunch with friends after uni and also try out foreign foods if you have not had a chance to do it before

Come to TD1, you will be overwhelmed with a variety of dishes in the menu like many dishes of rice, noodle, salad, etc. One special thing here is that although TD1 is a Vietnamese restaurant, they also serve ‘Laksa’, which is a Malaysian dish.

My all time favourite
combo meal in TD1 is Crispy Chicken Noodle with a cup of Strawberry Sugarcane Juice

The egg noodle is chewy and yummy dipped in excellent soup base with full of flavor. It is served with a nice side dish, which is crispy chicken. The chicken meat is juicy and covered by crispy skin outside. This portion is just right, not too much and not too little

Strawberry sugarcane juice is the signature drink of TD1 that you should try. It brings us a fascinating combination of sweetness from sugarcane with a little bit sour from strawberry, which is very unique

My rate for this dish is 4/5!

Comparing to other Vietnamese restaurants in Sydney, TD1 has a higher price than others, in general. However, I think a good service here and also the high quality of food material definitely worth the price of it.
