The Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart
Hokkaido
Hi again! MQU Foodies are back with another food review by Durafsha Zahid, 45556725.
Today I visited Hokkaido for their famous baked cheese tarts. Hokkaido follows a traditional recipe from Japan to prepare their famous cheese tarts. Their baked cheese tarts have been a huge success in Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Brunei and China. After opening their Branch in Australia they have successfully won the hearts of their customers and now own three stores in Sydney, six in Melbourne and some other branches in other states at well. Hokkaido produces 50% of Japan’s total milk and 90% of Japan’s natural cheese. Their first store opened in 2016 in Malaysia, and now the legendary Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart stores sell up to 20,000 cheese tarts per day.
As I had been hearing a lot about these cheese tarts from everyone I met I decided to pay this place a visit, to my surprise they were actually really good. I tried their famous and classic "original cheese tart" which is priced only at $3.90 only. they are displayed for customers like precious cheesy gems. There are many other flavours to try but the original one is what I went for.
These cheese tarts can be had as a snack or a dessert after a heavy meal as there is always place for dessert! It's a perfect size for afternoon tea or breakfast too! it can be had straight out of the oven or even cold. Whatever you prefer! Either way, you'll love the rich and sweet flavours of the three cheese in it! Crunchy shortcrust base and the foamy cheesy filling makes the perfect combination. I am pleased to say that these cheese tarts are delicious and rate them 9/10.
